In this two part workshop workshop students will be shown how to create more sophisticated patterns using a slow curing resin which allows more experimentation with adding colours, pigment powders, glitter and metal leaf. How to mix resin, colour using pigments, alcohol ink, foil and glitter to create different effects and set into assorted moulds to create earrings and pendants. Finally how to sand, assemble and finish using pliers, string and metal findings. Students will be required to wear gloves and a mask, not suitable for pregnant woman or children under 16. All materials provided, no experience necessary. Although not compulsory it is an advantage if students have completed the Beginners Resin Jewellery Workshop so they have an understanding of the process and options for colouring.
Because the resin needs 24 hours to cure , the second session is to press components out of moulds, finish, assemble and clean moulds. We will also create multi-coloured earring components using a white quick curing resin which can be taken home after the first session.
